APS Micro Inverters

The APS Microinverter marks a new generation of solar technology, making your solar harvesting array more powerful, economical, dependable, intelligent and safe.

Conventional residential solar power systems using one inverter at the end of a string of solar modules can only operate as efficiently as the least efficient module. Reduced solar output due to a shadow or leaf on one module will have the same reduced output spread across all modules in the array.

The APS Microinverter can individually maximize power generation for each module, raising efficiency by at least 5% and possibly by as much as 20% depending on individual conditions. Additionally, the performance of each module can be individually monitored from your home computer

Our latest model, the APS YC500A, is designed to handle two solar modules while still maximizing each unit’s power. This reduces the number of units required for installation which reduces labor costs while still communicating each units output. These units can be connected to the rack or directly to the module’s frame, depending on the system’s design.

    This microinverter converts the DC power from the solar module to the proper AC current for your power grid. The APS YC500A is designed to handle two solar modules simultaneously (dual MPPT). APS grid-tied solar PV Microinverters are designed to operate in real world conditions in temperatures ranging from -40 ºC to +65 ºC. The APS YC500A Microinverters carry a 25-year warranty and have an expected lifetime of over 25 years, matching the life expectancy of most solar modules.
